What is Biotech’s biggest constraint? Why, TALENT, of course! For companies to flourish, expanding and developing the available pool of talent becomes a critical success factor. Which skills – beyond the scientific and technical expertise that enables industry entrance – are crucial to develop for professional and organizational growth? Instructors Jennifer Lawrence of Cambridge Corporate Training and Karla Talanian of MassBioEd conducted research to discover specific “soft skills” needed to succeed in biotech at every level. Through interviews with dozens of hiring managers and HR professionals throughout Massachusetts, they asked: “What attitudes and behaviors characterize successful biotech professionals? And how can these skills be developed?”

The results and their implications may surprise you. Please join us Tuesday October 8 for an intriguing HR Workshop, in which we’ll share research findings and invite your participation in an interactive session, to determine practical steps that individuals, organizations, and our entire biotech ecosystem can take: Together we can expand biotech’s talent pipeline!
