Head of Intellectual Property, Frequency Therapeutics
Lisa is an experienced patent attorney who brings more than 20 years of experience practicing intellectual property law and strategy to Frequency Therapeutics. Previously, she was Head of Intellectual Property at Casebia Therapeutics, Seres Therapeutics and other innovator companies, working to integrate their intellectual property and business strategies. She has advised life science and pharmaceutical companies as principal of Intellectual Property Strategy, LLC and served as an Associate General Counsel at Biogen Idec. Before joining Biogen Idec, Lisa practiced patent law in the law firms of Fish & Richardson P.C. and Wilmer Hale, where her practice included patent prosecution, client counseling and licensing, primarily in the areas of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
Lisa received her Ph.D. in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and was a post-doctoral fellow and faculty member in the Department of Neurobiology at Harvard Medical School. She received her J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law, where she currently teaches patent prosecution.
Lisa also serves on the board of Science and Engineering Ethics and has published on topics related to the interface between social issues and science.
