Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, 2M Clinical
Dr. Regina James is the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at 2M Clinical and has over 25 years of clinical research experience. Dr. James is responsible for leading 2M’s Clinical Research Practice and strategic medical leadership and content expertise to ensure successful execution of quality cost efficient and timeline driven clinical trials services for commercial and federal clients. Prior to joining 2M, Dr. James served as the Director of Clinical and Health Services Research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD). Dr. James also served as the Director of the Office of Health Equity of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) at the NIH, overseeing research, capacity development, training programs, and informing the public about issues related to differences in maternal and child health outcomes and health equity. She is a clinical research expert and physician with a proven track record of leading and implementing national and international clinical research programs and initiatives. Dr. James received her Bachelor of Science in psychology and biology and her MD from the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed a residency in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and she completed a research fellowship at the Child Psychiatry Branch of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). She has published articles in Science, the Journal of the American Medical Association, Science, Circulation Research, Biological Psychiatry, and the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
