Managing PPE Supply Chain to Support your Laboratories
At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the nation experienced a severe shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) which threatened the safety of healthcare workers in treating the massive influx of COVID-19 patients, and the ability of critical life sciences employees to safely work in the lab. In Massachusetts, the Life Sciences Emergency SupplyHub coordinated efforts among life sciences organizations to try and bring additional supplies and resources to our state’s healthcare institutions. The state ultimately set up its own portal for those seeking to donate supplies which helped offset the PPE shortage and enabled healthcare and life sciences operations to continue. Now, however, global supply chain issues are beginning to percolate.
In this webinar, Tony Spearing, Senior Director, Commercial Operations for Thermo Fisher’s Safety and Production business unit will walk through the current global supply chain issues surrounding PPE manufacturing and how Thermo Fisher can support their customers’ research, production, and safety needs while ensuring the effective utilization of available safety products.
