Workforce is a big challenge for many industries but especially the life sciences industry, as we forecast adding 40,000 net-new jobs by 2024. In order to create that supply, Massachusetts must look to scale up workforce training programs alongside career awareness training for the future workforce. This panel will discuss programs that currently exist to train people for jobs in the life sciences industry. The panel will also examine opportunities for industry and government, through public/private partnerships, to scale these programs across Massachusetts so that a wider, more diverse, population of residents can benefit from our growing industry.
