This year, as the world adapts to conducting business remotely, topics will focus on the hiring effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and implications for industry operations. Attendees from academia and industry will convene remotely with expert panelists to address critical issues such as how the pandemic is affecting business, how to focus on recovery, including handling disrupted class schedules and the abrupt shutdown of graduate research projects, and how to build a flexible workforce. Breakout sessions will offer opportunities for networking and more in-depth discussion to share best practices. Influential leaders from universities, colleges, and industry will come together to work on building solutions to expand the workforce and create innovative pathways for candidates to develop skills and be better prepared for careers in the industry.

Founding Partner, Pabian Law
Keith Pabian is the Founding Partner of Pabian Law, LLC, a national immigration law firm headquartered in Massachusetts that focuses on assisting employers through the visa and immigration process. Keith has extensive experience working with organizations and individuals in the life sciences and biotech industry, both in the Boston area and around the country. Keith regularly presents at national conferences, industry meetings, and on webinars on employment-based immigration topics and opportunities. He has also appeared in numerous publications and in the media to discuss immigration issues and topics affecting the foreign national workforce in the United States. He has received numerous awards for his success in providing solutions to employers’ most pressing staffing issues. Keith is an alumni of Villanova University School of Law and Union College. He lives in the Boston area with his wife and two elementary school aged sons.
