Director of Epidemiology at Biogen
Dr. Nicholas J. Everage is a Director, Epidemiology, in Analytics and Data Sciences at Biogen, which he joined in June 2014, and has over a decade of experience working in the post-marketing, observational data setting. He currently leads a team of epidemiologists focused on Biogen’s expansive multiple sclerosis (MS) portfolio. Among the various aspects of his role, Nick provides strategic leadership in the conduct of multinational, observational studies, including pregnancy exposure registries and Post-Authorization Safety Studies, with a special focus on long-term, observational safety studies. Prior to joining Biogen, Nick was an epidemiologist at Optum, where he was responsible for the day-to-day conduct of pharmacoepidemiologic studies using administrative claims data for numerous industry clients. He earned his A.B. in Community Health (with a focus on healthcare policy and organization) from Brown University and, after working for 4 years, returned to Brown to obtain his Master of Science and PhD in Epidemiology from the now Brown University School of Public Health.
