This year, as the world adapts to conducting business remotely, topics will focus on the hiring effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and implications for industry operations. Attendees from academia and industry will convene remotely with expert panelists to address critical issues such as how the pandemic is affecting business, how to focus on recovery, including handling disrupted class schedules and the abrupt shutdown of graduate research projects, and how to build a flexible workforce. Breakout sessions will offer opportunities for networking and more in-depth discussion to share best practices. Mary Beth is an experienced Talent Acquisition Leader with Pall Corporation, a Danaher Company (NYSE: DHR). Due to increased talent competition in the Boston market and a need for expertise in Biotechnology and Biopharmaceutical recruitment, Mary Beth joined the organization in 2018. Mary Beth elevated the recruitment service delivery for leadership, scientific and engineering recruitments for Pall Corporate R&D and Pall Biotech specifically in: gene therapy, monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and recombinant protein applications. In addition to managing multiple recruitments, Mary Beth is the Workday Recruiter Pro globally for Pall Talent Acquisition. She has spearheaded system adoption for desktop and mobile hiring, training for global HR and TA colleagues, and data governance. Prior to joining Pall, Mary Beth worked for Pfizer and Sanofi leading large, remote and local talent acquisition teams for Research and Development and Medical Affairs. Prior to these roles, Mary Beth worked for Randstad (onsite at Genzyme) as well as Pro Source supporting hiring for biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Mary Beth holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Merrimack College. She is a LinkedIn certified recruiter, completed Danaher training in Problem Solving Processes and is a Danaher Master Trainer for Workday Recruiter. She is from the Boston area, loves her Boston sports teams, reading, biking, technology, helping others and her morning coffee.
