John Pracyk, MD, PhD, MBA, is an Integrated Leader - Preclinical & Clinical Research and Medical Affairs at DePuy Synthes Spine, (Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies), and President of the Americas, and member of the Board of Directors, The Medical Affairs Professional Society. John is an executive medical affairs leader focusing on the design, development, and commercialization of medical devices. As a Neurological Surgeon/ Neuroscientist with an uncommon blend of business and medical expertise he is a passionate proponent of value-based care and outcomes-driven, evidence-based practices. He is a recognized thought leader and program architect in the creation and management of collaborative healthcare delivery platforms with a proven track record of multidisciplinary program build-outs and care redesign successes. John obtained his BS, MD, and PhD degrees through the Early Identification & Medical Scientist Training Programs at Duke University and was competitively awarded postdoctoral fellowships at The University of Cambridge and The National Institutes of Health. John also obtained a MBA at the Haslam College of Business, at the University of Tennessee, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
