Co-Chief Executive Officer, Ignyte Acquisition & Head of Healthcare at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc.
David J. Strupp, Jr. is the Co-Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Ignyte Acquisition Corp. In addition to his role as the CEO of the Ignyte SPAC, Mr. Strupp is a Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Investment Banking at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. and has worked as a dedicated healthcare investment banker for 28 years at various investment banks. In his role leading the firm’s healthcare investment banking practice at Ladenburg Thalmann, Mr. Strupp has overseen the execution of numerous transactions across a range of products, including M&A advisory, equity and equity-linked offerings, private placements and fixed income transactions. During his tenure at Ladenburg Thalmann, Mr. Strupp has helped the firm establish a market-leading practice advising biotechnology companies in reverse merger transactions. Prior to joining Ladenburg Thalmann, Mr. Strupp worked as a senior member of the healthcare groups at boutique investment banks, including ThinkEquity Partners, Canaccord Adams (now Canaccord Genuity), and Rodman & Renshaw. He began his career on Wall Street working in the healthcare groups at UBS Securities, NationsBanc Montgomery Securities and Citigroup. Mr. Strupp received a B.A. in Economics from Bates College and an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics.
